The Northumberland Public Library serves residents and visitors of all ages in Northumberland County as a center for free access to multi-media information and library materials; to offer instructional, educational, and cultural opportunities; and to engage and partner with community groups and organizations, by offering the use its facilities and through its services, programs, and activities.
The Library provides public computers with internet access. A Library card is required to access the computers. Guest passes are available for visitors. Patrons must accept and adhere to our Internet Use Policy. Parents are responsible for supervising their children’s access to the internet.
Copy Machine & Printing
A copier is available for public use. Copies can be made in black and white or color. The fees are as follows:
8.5” x 11” & 8.5 x 14”
10¢ per page (Black and White)
25¢ per page (Color)
25¢ per page (Black and White)
50¢ per page (Color)
Documents can be printed from the Library’s public computers.
FAXING And SCANNING
Faxes can be sent and received at the Library. The fees are as follows:
Outgoing Faxes – $2.00 for every 5 pages
Incoming Faxes – 10¢ per page
Our copier can also scan a document and send to an email address, as a free service.
WIRELESS INTERNET (Wi-Fi)
Cards are issued in person to those with proof of identity and a current mailing and physical address.A parent or legal guardian must sign the application for patrons under the age of 18. Parents are responsible for selecting and supervising their child’s access to all library resources.Library card replacement: $1.00
Damaged cards are replaced for free.
RENEW AND RESERVE ITEMS FROM HOME
You can renew items using the Library’s website or, call 804-580-5051 during library hours and a staff member will assist you.
Our meeting room is available for community or nonprofit agency meetings. Ask a staff member for more information.
Specialized books not owned by the Library may be requested through Interlibrary loan for a cost of $3.00 per book. Ask a staff member at the circulation desk for more information.
