Buffalo Soldiers

February is Black History month and we are celebrating with special exhibits in our library. Daisy Howard-Douglas, (left) is an author, educator and storyteller. She will have a historical exhibit in our lobby on Buffalo Soldiers. The Northern Neck has a history with Buffalo Soldiers as you can see by the marker below.

Mrs. Howard-Douglas will also be doing a reenactment during our African American History Celebration on February 17, at 2 p.m. in the library.
