Northumberland Public Library Volunteers Receive White House Recognition


For the second year in a row, Northumberland Public Library volunteers were honored with the President’s Volunteer Service Award. Volunteers with service during the year of 50 or more hours, depending on their age, received bronze and silver certificates and a letter from President Obama. Longtime adult volunteers, Bill Estell and Jay and Earline Walker received gold certificates for more than 500 hours of service to the library.
