Virtual polls are open for voting in the Library of Virginia’s annual People’s Choice category of the Virginia Literary Awards program and will continue until July 1.
For those of you who are not familiar with the program, each year the Library solicits nominations of books published during the previous year by Virginia authors, or, in the case of nonfiction, a book about a Virginia subject in the genres of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. A panel of judges select the finalists and winners of the juried awards in these categories, but readers and book lovers are encouraged to vote for their favorite books from among five finalists that a panel of librarians and book sellers help determine.

The winner in each category will be announced at the annual Library of Virginia Literary Awards Celebration hosted by New York Times best-selling author Adrianna Trigiani at the Library on the evening of Saturday, October 15.
