Northumberland Public Library Receives $3000 Grant for Its Summer Reading Program

A $3000 grant has been awarded to the Northumberland Public Library by the the Advisory Board of the River Counties Community Foundation to help pay for summer reading program initiatives. The granting organization, an an affiliate of The Community Foundation Serving Richmond & Central Virginia, informed the library about the funds in a June 5 letter to NPL Director Alice Cooper.

This is an amazing honor and we look forward to putting this generous grant to good use this summer,” said Jan Bates, the library’s Coordinator of Children’s Programs.
