About 20 people attended the April 21 presentation of the Rosenwald High School Story, held in the Meeting Room of the Northumberland Public Library. The audience included some who had attended the school, which was opened in 1917 and closed in the 1950s. The presentation was given by Carol Campbell, Chair of the Oral History Committee, Julius Rosenwald School Foundation of Northumberland County. The plan is to collect 40 oral histories of former students in time for the school’s 100th anniversary in 2017. Many of the people attending the April 21 event signed up to be interviewed or to be an interviewer.
